Friday Favorites #2: Neutrogena, CeraVe, and more!

Favorites Friday #2: Covergirl, CeraVe, and more!

What's up guys!?

I have recently noticed that the drugstore is really picking up its game in terms of the products that are being offered. Usually on Friday afternoons on my days off from class, I spend some time shopping at CVS or Rite Aid if I have some nice coupons to use, and I have come to find some serious gems. Of course, with greater quality in product comes greater price, which is why I always use coupons and my Ibotta app.

Side note: If you are interested in trying out Ibotta, you can use my referral code (shameless plug I know, I'm sorry) slolcey. You will get a $10 welcome bonus and I'll get five bucks, which is a nice new mascara for the both of us, so I think it's a sweet deal. It is basically ebates but for physical receipts, so definitely worth a try since you basically just getting money back on stuff you already bought.

Anyways, back to what I came here to write about. I have five products that I really want to talk about because they have just made me so happy. I love it when products work and I love sharing them with the world with hopes that they might work for you too. So, without any further ado, let's begin!

Friday Favorites #2 : Stina's Sphere

1. CeraVe Renewing SA Lotion for Rough and Bumpy Skin

Cerave SA lotion

As someone who loves CeraVe, I was not surprised when I fell in love with this lotion. I have been using their moisturizing cream for quite some time, but I was looking for a lighter version. This one is perfect for day and night because it has a nice light texture, but it also deeply hydrates. It is formulated with salicylic acid, which you think would dry your skin out, but it actually doesn't. It exfoliates the top layer of your skin to bring the moisturizing properties deeper into your skin which really helps to hydrate from within. I use it all over from my face to my body and it works wonders for my flaky, winter skin. I have even noticed less dry patches and irritation since using it, which is all I could ever ask for in a moisturizer. This brand has yet to ever fail me, and I look forward to trying even more of their products in the future.

2. CoverGirl Brow Pencil

Covergirl Brow Pencil

To be honest, I am usually not a brow pencil kinda girl. I usually reach more for pomades, but I had a coupon and decided to try something new and I'm so glad I did. I got this in shade blonde, and it is actually perfect. Usually the blonde shades are way too light, but this one is a nice cool toned shade that I can see working for a variety of hair colors. I have already gone through an entire pencil and I just started a second because I have come to love it so much. It is super creamy and has a lot of pigmentation. Unfortunately, because of these reasons, you can go through them quite quickly, but luckily it is only about 6 bucks before coupon so it could be worse. It reminds me of the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely My Brow Pencil but -dare I say it- better? I prefer it to Benefit's one, and even if I didn't, it is less than half the price of the higher end pencil, so I think I am going to stay with CoverGirl for quite some time.

3. L'Oreal Pro Glow Foundation

Loreal Pro-Glow Foundation

Why did it take me to long to try this out? I am way behind on all the hype, but finally I am catching on. I have tried the Pro-Matte version and I was hesitant to try this one because people were saying that it broke them out. I think people were having reactions to the SPF in it, but I have never had any issues- THANKFULLY! It is a nice medium coverage that is perfect for dry skin. I heard a lot of people saying that it makes them look super glowy, but my skin must be next level dry because I never look glowy per se - I kinda just look normal like not overly greasy or gross but just healthy. I love that it is just medium coverage yet buildable because full-coverage can be challenging when you have dry patches. I only have two issues with it, however. One is that it creases pretty badly around my mouth after smiling, and the other is that I wish the shade range was a bit better. I just need a shade lighter, one with perhaps with a warmer undertone, and I would be set. Other than that, I finally understand what all of the hype is about and I am so glad I gave it a try.

4. L'Oreal Tru Match Lumi Glotion

Loreal True Match Lumi Glotion

I have been waiting to try this out for the longest time but it kept being sold out every time I went for it at the store. I finally got my hands on it and I so happy with it so far. While I do not think it makes my makeup last any longer when I use it under foundation, it does give me a glow. It helps bring life back to my face with a subtle sense of hydration. It is by no means a replacement for my moisturizer, but it is certainly a great addition. I notice a slight cooling sensation when I apply it and it smooths my skin without clinging on to dry patches - thank the Lord! It actually kinda reminds me of the First Aid Beauty Coconut Smoothie Primer (one of my favorite primers) in how it feels, applies, and looks on the skin. I think it makes for a nice dupe if you don't want to shell out the Sephora price for the FAB one.

5. Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Mascara

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mascara

My new favorite creation! It has been awhile since I have been obsessed with a new mascara. My usual go-to is Urban Decay's Perversion mascara, but honestly this one might just take the cake. I do not necessarily know what the benefit of having hyaluronic acid in a mascara does for lashes, but apparently it must be doing something good because this stuff works wonders. It lifts and separates my lashes so perfectly and does not smudge or flake at all. I know mascara is a personal preference kinda thing, but I really think this one is worth a try. Neutrogena's beauty products do not get enough love in my opinion, so I think more people should give this a shot. I am looking forward to trying more of their hydro boost collection in the coming weeks!

So those were some of my recent fun favs from the drugstore, but what are some of yours? What products have you guys been loving lately from either the drugstore or Sephora/Ulta? Let me know in the comments down below.

Until next time,

Stina :)
