5 Nude Lipsticks You Need!

5 Nude Lipsticks You Need: Stina's Sphere

TGIF!

Wow, what a week it has been. Time is really flying by, or at least it just feels like it. This is been a rather stressful week of real world job interview/search blunders, and I am honestly so thankful that this week is over. In some fun news, I recently got a hold of some new makeup, so be on the lookout for fresh posts coming your way soon!

Since it is Friday, I like to keep the alliteration alive, so it is time for a Favorites Friday! I have been meaning to put this post up for a while since I am huge nude lipstick kinda gal. Of course, I should probably disclose that not every lipstick is truly a nude. Some people might categorize them differently, but since I only had one that doesn't necessarily make the cut, I decided to include it anyway and keep the title the same.

My Favorite Nude Lipsticks:Stina's Sphere

I have a good mix of high end and drugstore shades in store of all you today. I honestly cringe a bit when I see the price tag on a single lip product at Sephora. I try to only get them if they are on sale or in a value set because otherwise it's just too crazy expensive for a single product. Most all of the lip products I have from Sephora are deluxe size samples, which can last a long time and are more travel friendly in my opinion. All of the lip products I have on this list are my go-tos, the ones I use again and again without hesitation. Maybe one of my favorites will become one of yours!

Color Sensational Vivid Hot Lacquer Lip Gloss - Tease

Stina's Sphere: Color Sensational Vivid Hot Lacquer Lip Gloss

Need a dupe for a Marc Jacobs lip gloss (Sugar Sugar aka the best, most popular shade)? I found one! Not only is this 2o dollars cheaper, but I think it might even be a bit better. I am obsessed with this shade as it suits my fair complexion so well. I also think it could work for a variety of different skin tones. It is very pigmented and it is a bit thicker than a usual gloss, so while you can use it as a lip topper, the color underneath won't come out as well. It is super long lasting without being sticky or gloppy and I find that it stays within my lip lines without bleeding, and I don't even need to use a lip liner. I would love it if Maybelline came out with this shade of gloss in a liquid lipstick because then I would wear it every day (I don't wear lip gloss as much as I would like to because I hate getting my hair caught in the gloss if I am out). Overall, for 7 bucks, I would totally repurchase, and I might have to really soon!

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Paint

- Festival

Stina's Sphere: L'Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Lip Paint

So perhaps not a 'nude' shade for my fair skin, but it is the nude family. It comes off as more of a brown on my lips, but I actually really enjoy it. It is perfect for the fall, but I wear it year-round because I don't care about makeup rules. This is a super matte formula that seriously lasts all day. It honestly takes some work to get it off! While I can't say it is a comfortable all day wear, it is comfortable on the lips for a few hours. After about four or five hours, my lips start to feel a bit dry, but I usually don't wear lipsticks for that long a time. I get a ton of compliments when I wear this lip with a very simple eye look, which is a nice added bonus. The only thing I am not a fan of when it comes to this lip product is its smell. Quite frankly, it makes me almost gag. Right now you're thinking, "And yet, it's one of your favorites?" Well yes, I love it, I just make sure to not breathe when I apply it. I don't notice a smell when it is on. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for beauty.

Tarte Color Splash Hydrating Lipstick - Rum Punch

Stina's Sphere: Tarte color splash hydrating lipstick in Rum Punch

While it pains me deeply to say that I am willing to pay 20 bucks for a bullet lipstick, I can't deny that I am going to do that for this lipstick (as soon as I can actually find it in stores because it is always sold out). Tarte's hydrating lipstick formula is perfect for gals like me who have super dry skin. Just like my face, my lips also get super dry, so it makes me very happy when my makeup can help keep my face hydrated along with my skincare. This lipstick feels so good on the lips, and while it doesn't last too long, since it is not a liquid lip, I don't mind having to reapply it throughout the day. The shade is the most perfect nude shade I think that's ever been created. It isn't too orange or too pale, so it looks natural all while giving my lips a nice splash of color [see what I did there ;)]. Out of all of the lip products on this list, this is the one I recommend the most. I think it is worth the hefty price tag because I have tried to find a dupe and I have yet to have any success. It's just so good.

Stila Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick - Patina

Stina's Sphere: Stila Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick

Raise your hand if you enjoy a nice bold lip all year round! I got this lippie a few months ago when it was on sale at Sephora and I thought it was the best shade considering just about everything I own is some form of burgundy/maroon so it almost always matches what I am wearing. I lot of people complain about Stila lipsticks being too drying, but I don't mind them. They last really long time on the lips and the color payoff is incredible. And for a dark shade, I've never had any issues with streaking or patchiness. I just wish the applicator was a bit more pointed or angular because its rounded tip makes it hard to be precise and stay within the lines. Other than that, I could totally see myself buying more of these liquid lipsticks in the future, should they ever go on sale again because your girl is on a budget.

Burt's Bees Lipstick- Nile Nude

Stina's Sphere: Burt's Bees Lipstick in

Finally, we have reached my last favorite, and it is the newest to my collection. I had never tried anything from Burt's Bees before I tried this, and I had honestly only bought it on a whim. I was looking for a simple every day lipstick that I could just pop on to give some color to my lips, and this one fit the bill. It is the perfect nude shade with a slight glossy look to it so it isn't drying in the slightest. It is a creamier formula, so it doesn't last too long, but for the purpose it serves, that is all I could ask for. It makes my lips feel super comfortable, and the shade suits my fair skin like a dream without coming off too peachy. I wished I had tested out Burt's Bees sooner; makes me want to try more of their stuff!
